As my one year anniversary as an exsmoker approaches, I reflected back on all the support I received from friends and family. I don't know if I could have quit cold turkey without the constant reassurances from my network of supporters.
If you're gearing up for a new year's resolution, make sure you have a couple people you can turn to when times are tough. Ask them to be mindful of triggers that cause you to crave a nicotine. Nothing makes a quitter feel the urge more than people forgetting they've quit and reducing it's priority.
